You are looking at an auction for a very VERY RARE CLASSIC ACID-ROCK LP (in SUPERB condition!!!!) It’s a 1970 1st UK pressing of High Tide’s classic second album ‘High Tide’ THIS IS AN EXTREMELY RARE LP – AND A HOTLY SOUGHT AFTER RARITY FROM THE ERA!!!! THIS IS ALSO THE COMPLETE AND ORIGINAL UK ISSUE SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!! Already 34 years old, released in 1970 on the “BLACK” LIBERTY label and in STUNNING condition!!!! The record is pressed on great quality vinyl. All the tracks are pure quality, the music an incredible psychedelic mix of distorted guitars, electric violins and heavy vocals, creating a whirlpool of sound that’s just sensational on this rare first pressing vinyl - ESSENTIAL!!!!

RECORD CONDITION:

This album is graded as a very strong EXCELLENT. The needle hits the outer groove to near silence, and as ‘Blankman Cries Again’ comes in to fill out the room, you'll know you're in for a real aural treat! This is the kind of audio clarity that can only come from first pressing vinyl, and the whole record doesn't disappoint. There are no bad pops or clicks, just the occasional momentary pop or click that is totally unintrusive and never detracts from the music. In fact my visual inspection revealed nothing other than a few of the faintest, totally non-sounding paper scuffs. The spindle wear is minimal, it reveals that the record has been played only a few times. The remarkable thing is, the one original owner cared for this album and, unlike many original owners of the first pressing, didn't get anywhere near to overplaying or overhandling the album - it really has kept a lovely crisp newness! To put it simply, this original pressing rarely turns up in this sort of shape, opportunity's to buy it like this are few and far between!

COVER CONDITION:

This original textured album cover is still fully intact, does not have any bad marks or tears and does not display any damage or serious areas of use and abuse. I have given it a grade of VERY GOOD. The edges all display only the lightest early stage scuffing, that never causes a hole, and the development of ring-wear is only light and hasn't caused a rubbing effect that would detract from the cover art and text. These minor factors are the primary reasons I have graded the cover VG, the other less significant one being the presence of a few light creases but, there again, these are only noticeable close up. Overall, this is a rare record cover completely intact and displaying all of its original charm. DON’T PASS ON THIS ONE – IT’S SERIOUSLY RARE! ESPECIALLY THIS FIRST PRESSING!!!!!

Our gradings are based on Record Collector magazines ‘Rare Record Price Guide’ system (Mint/Excellent/Very Good/Good/Fair) and we always steer on the side of caution with these (for example if we have any element of doubt about grading a record EX we will always go VG to ensure the eventual buyer has a pleasant surprise!)
