Description

Hi, my name is Brian and I have been collecting vinyl for many years. My main interest has been PROGRESSIVE especially the VERTIGO SWIRL/SPIRAL LABEL, reputed to be the most collectable label in the world?

I have also collected some real 'prog' gems on other collected labels, such as Charisma, Dawn, RCA Neon, Island, Dandelion, Philips, Liberty etc... and now I am going to SELL them ( I must be mad ). I have been quite fussy about the QUALITY, CONDITION and they must be the VERY FIRST PRESSINGS. The latter has been the hardest to decipher and has had me buying and selling many copies of the same album to achieve this, and I almost have with these collectable gems.

I am not and have never been a 'dealer' by profession, but I have always given honest descriptions and lots of clear photo's of any items I have sold. I do know how disappointing it is when you open that package and the item has been over sold with expressions such as "AWESOME" etc when the item is only in EX- condition or worse. If you are in anyway disappointed with an item from me you are most welcome to return it with a FULL REFUND, providing it is an honest and just mistake by myself as I believe in my descriptions.

SO HERE WE GO.......

For sale here is--HIGH TIDE--HIGH TIDE-- UK ORIGINAL VERY FIRST PRESSING WITH VERY FIRST PRESSING SLEEVE, ON THE BLACK LIBERTY LABEL 1970, STEREO LBS 83294

SLEEVE.....NON-GATEFOLD and TEXTURED. This sleeve is notorious for wear and tear, it was constructed of very light card and being mostly black and textured it generally does not wear well. This sleeve has not managed to escape without any wear over the last 35 years but there is no 'tear'. It is a GENUINE VERY FIRST PRESSING. This is a very acceptable copy of this sleeve. It is very flat and square. The colour is very strong and vibrant LIKE NEW. The edges are great condition with NO SEEM SPLITS although there is light wear. The spine is only partially legible due to some rubbing. The front is EX with some rubbing to the surface which shows as light ring-wear ( not worn through the surface),  it is nice and shiney and has NO UNWANTED WRITING, NO STICKER TEARS, NO STICKERS, NO SEEM SPLITS  AND NO STAINING , other than that there is just some very light surface creases but these are minor. The rear is in the same wonderful condition. The opening edges are sharp and true. The only other sign of wear is to the tips of the corners. All in all this is in wonderful condition for a 36year old sleeve. EX-

LABELS......This is a genuine first pressing, black Liberty. There is NO WRITING, NO STICKERS, NO STICKER RESIDUE AND NO TEARS. There are only VERY FEW VERY LIGHT spindle marks on the side-1 label and NOT EVEN ONE!! on side-2 label (obviously not been played much and with great care).N/MINT

VINYL....Both sides of this fantastic album still have their JUST PRESSED deep black shine. As for surface marks, when you hold this album in the very brightest of lights you can only see very light surface marks NO DEEP SCRATCHES. This album looks PRISTINE in normal day light. Both sides play WITHOUT SCRATCHES, STICKING OR JUMPS. There are dust crackles but I am sure a professional clean would sort out most of that. I have played this album on my very sensitive and revealing LINN SONDEK.The sound is UN-WORN, it is full and crisp there is NO loss of sound quality at all, wonderful sound stage and stereo seperation. This is a superb album in the most wonderful of conditions. These HEAVY VINYL origional pressings are second to none. This really is a top copy that any collector would be delighted to add to their collection, a real KEEPER.EX+/EX+. "STUNNING".

IT IS EXTREMELY RARE IN ANY CONDITION, BUT ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE IN THIS 'SUPERB'  CONDITION. DONT MISS THIS ONE.

THERE CANT BE MANY LEFT IN THIS LOVELY CONDITION.

AND SO VERY VERY RARE.

Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions.

I prefer payment by paypal, UK bidders may use a personal cheque.

GOOD LUCK bidding! Brian.
