Texas-born Micah P. Hinson swaps the stripped folk intimacy of I Lie To You (2022) for The Tomorrow Man, a full, festive record of string-swept brass and chamber orchestra. Hinson's gravelled baritone sits amid triumphant orchestration on 'Oh, Sleepyhead', admitting prophetic disappointment, then drifts through brass-tint melancholy on 'Think Of Me', then mariachi rhythm on 'The Last Train To Texas'. Elsewhere, 'Take It Slow' and 'Mothers And Daughters' revisit his confessional roots, blooming gradually into orchestral grandeur. Across the 11, Hinson reshapes his weathered Americana into something both stately and humane, his cracked voice finding new equilibrium in the swirl of sound around it.
