Furtwangler Beethoven Symphony No 9 Bayreuth Festival Orchestra 1951 MINT-/COVER VG

Beethoven Symphony No 9 in D minor Opus 125 "Choral". HMV ALP 1286 and 1287 mono UK pressing
Matrix s1: 2XRA 16-2N, s2: 2XRA 17-2N, s3: 2XRA 18-2N and s4: 2XRA 19-3N.

COVER 1286: Very Good. Laminate separation along top of front cover for about 2 inches and on the left side for about 2inches. Some dirt along the outline of the LP appears on the front cover. The spine is split in the center for about 3 inches and there is wear along the opening edge. The rear has some dirt along the top flaps of the scalloped top edge.

 

Cover 1287: Very Good. Laminate separation along top of front cover for about 2 inches in the center and 2 inches near the opening edge on the top right. There is laminate separation on the left side of the front cover for about 2inches and part of the yellow cover has cracked off there. . Some dirt along the outline of the LP appears on the front cover. The spine is split in the center for about 3-4 inches and there is light wear along the opening edge. The rear has tape near the top center and a very small amount of dirt along the top flap of the scalloped top edge.

 

Vinyl: There is a small RCA stamp glued onto the second side of each LP.

1: 2XRA 1G-2N

2: 2XRA 17-2N

3: 2XRA 19-3N

4: 2XRA 18-2N

1286 Side 1: Master Lacquer = 2. Matrix=1. Stamper G=1. These pressings are extremely early!

1286 Side 2: Master Lacquer = 2. Matrix=1. Stamper G=1. These pressings are extremely early!

 

 

1287: Side 3: Master Lacquer = 12. Matrix=1. Stamper T=9.

1287 Side 4: Master Lacquer = 12. Matrix=1. Stamper P=6.

 

Condition of Vinyl:MINT-

Side 1:   No marks and no spindle marks. One fingerprint in the dead wax area.

Side 2:  No marks and no spindle marks.
Side 3:  No marks and no spindle marks. Light cellophane marks in the dead wax area. Light fingerprint in band 3.
