Description

This is a superb copy of the very rare 1963 HMV stereo recording of Music of Spain with Rafael Frubeck de Burgos conducting the Paris Conservatoire Orchestra in its original 1st pressing with the Gold / Cream label.

The programme is:

Turina: Danzas Fantasticas, Albeniz: Iberia - Evocacion, El Corpus en Sevilla, Triana, Falla: Ritual Fire Dance, La Vida Breve: Danza No 1.

The sleeve is bright and glossy and in very good condition with some very minor wear to the top and bottom right hand corners (see picture). The spine is uncreased with no laminate loss. The top edge is uncreased but has a little laminate loss. There is no creasing but some minor laminate loss to the bottom edge.. The record has been professionally cleaned, with isopropyl alcohol and distilled water, and the inner sleeve has been replaced. The original inner sleeve is included in the lot

The record has no visible scratches or blemishes and it plays beautifully with minimal surface noise and virtually no clicks or pops. The vinyl is bright and shiny and the labels are in very good condition. It would be difficult to find a better copy of this rare disk. I have played this end to end on a very good system and it sounds simply stunning.
