Description

Up for sale the rarissime Johnny Hallyday's Lebanese issue of Jesus Christ / On Me Recherche with a misspelling of the artist's name as Holliday.

D'apres un critique musical, it is believed that this song was forbidden to broadcast on radios, although Hallyday's first rejection in 1963 when after his arrival to Beirut International Airport, he was welcomed by huge francophone crowd while later the next day Hallyday's concert was cancelled when Interior Minister Kamal Jumblatt opposed. ( See the last photo taken from lebanese daily L'orient le jour )

Although this song was released on 1970, in Beirut, after the incident of 1963, the famous french rock n roll artist was known as underground musician to the mainstream chanson lovers.

It is possible, that the misspell ou la faute d'orthographe of this lebanese pressing was suggested by the producing company to escape from the bureaucracy decision that banned the song.

Highly sought by discography collectors, this masterpiece is surely hard to find, offered here in fair state.
