Hollywood Fats Band S/T PBR7008
"Legendary" is not a term often applied to white bluesmen, but Fats, in his too-short lifetime, earned the accolade. A child prodigy, he learned guitar first hand in jams with the likes of Buddy Guy, and soon became one of those “can do anything” guitarists. He had stints with Muddy Waters, the Blasters and Canned Heat, and even formed a punk outfit with members of TSOL and the Twisters! Here’s the original issue of his only solo lp, and it’s a knockout. Backed by singer/harpman Al Blake and Canned Heat bassist Larry Taylor, he struts his stuff on “Okie Dokie Stomp,” “Caldonia,” and 9 more. Top shelf stuff.

After a hiatus, during which we moved and built our Permanentrecords library/vault/watering hole, we are finally up and running as an Ebay seller again. Welcome back to all our old friends and hello to new ones. We’re going to try things a bit differently this time. We will still feature great, rare, obscure, strange and little-known vinyl, but we’ve decided on no reserves and a very low opening bid on even the choicest stuff. We’re hoping that this will keep you coming back to us for the chance at some genuine bargains and maybe even steals, as we allow each item to find its natural price. We are also hoping to expand into some of our other interests in the near future, like vintage clothes and books.
