I always felt this album was underrated. When bands like the Byrds, Flying Buritto Brothers, Mason Profitt, Poco, etc. started doing 'country rock' (or whatever you call it), they still came across like city boys dodging cow pies. The Holy Modal Rounders were city boys too, but they never seemed afraid of getting some 'pie' under their fingernails!
