HOOKER 'n HEAT Double Album 12" Vinyl LP Liberty 1971 - Mint Condition
Hooker 'n Heat is a double album released by blues legend John Lee Hooker and blues-rock band Canned Heat in early 1971. It was the last studio album to feature harmonica player, guitarist and songwriter Alan Wilson, who died in September 1970 from a drug overdose. The photo on the album cover was taken after Wilson's death, but his picture can be seen in a frame on the wall behind John Lee Hooker. Guitarist Henry Vestine was also missing from the photo session. The person standing in front of the window, filling in for Henry, is the band's manager, Skip Taylor.Careful examination of the photo reveals that Henry's face was later added by the art department.
These LPs we have rated as some of the best condition you will ever find. They have come from a private family collector, many of the LPs for sale from this collection have only ever been a handful of times, each.  Each album when played, was catalogued; when it was played, which side and how often.  They have NOT been touched or played since 1980. Stored upright in special LP storage cases. Stored in a heated home nearly 40 years.  There will of course be the signs of natural ageing of the covers and inner sleeves but the records themselves will be mark free. Vinyl Condition: Excellent - virtually unplayed Sleeve: Very Good, clean, uncreased.
