Description
This is an extremely rare Blue Note 1539 Deep Groove, mono first pressing, with a “767 Lexington Ave” address, originally recorded on November 10, 1956. Warning: Beware of later European pressings (1983) with Lexington Ave. address.
The album has been played about 20 times and has been cleaned on a VPI 16.5 record cleaning machine. Photos show condition and details of actual items.
CONDITION
· VINYL- VG: A listening test shows here are 3 audible ticks on side 1, cut 3. There are several audible ticks on side 2, cut 1. Several surface scuffs are visible but do not affect the sound. Otherwise the album shows no noticeable background surface noise. There are “RVG” and “Ear” marks in the runout.
· RECORD LABELS: Blue and white colors are clean, no marks or writing.
· COVERS: Front and back surfaces have no marks or writing. Back shows paper tear below the address copy along the bottom (See photo with red circle). Front top right edge seam has ½” separation. The spine and edges show slight wear.
· SLEEVE: No sleeve.
