HORACE SILVER QUINTET THE CAPE VERDEAN BLUES

This US press is on original New York USA Blue Note label. It is complete with the very earliest Van Gelder and ear etched in the run-out, the original Blue Note Inner sleeve and 43 West 61st St matt heavy card sleeve. Released in 1966, the album also features J.J. Johnson, Woody Shaw, Joe Henderson, Bob Cranshaw and Roger Humphries.
The vinyl is in Excellent condition. It has a sensational gloss, there is no whitening or signs of wear to the grooves, there are just a few extremely light wispy marks on both sides. The original Blue Note label is exceptionally bright and completely clean. The colour is solid and unworn, the text is sharp and there NO spindle wear.
The sound quality is Excellent. The wonderful heavy vinyl lies completely flat on the turntable and the sound is vibrant and clear. Superb separation from start to finish. Just a few moments of very light background crackle, largely caused by static but certainly nothing that spoils the enjoyment of this album at any point, it is a pleasure throughout.
The matt heavy card sleeve is in Excellent condition. The whole sleeve has the original just pressed light sheen and the colours are superb. The green is solid, the text is crisp and the image is perfect. There is a little very light edge wear. The rear of the sleeve has minor discolouration but is very clean and bright. The spine is very firm with clear text.
