For auction is the HORACE SILVER QUINTET's "Blowin' The Blues Away" on Blue Note BLP 4017, MONO, 1959. RVG/Ear.

SOUND: VG++

It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. This record blew my socks off! Just brilliant! The only reason I don't grade it a solid NM is the presence of a few soft tics in the last cut on each side. These were not a big deal, but I must mention them. There was also a louder pop in the segue between A3-A4. That's it...

VINYL: VG/VG+

Visually, the vinyl has a few light marks on each side which are superficial. One or two may be feel-able. The record plays a notch better than it looks! 

The labels are blue/white with deep-grooves. In very good condition, clean, but with some spindle marks. The dead wax has "RVG" stamp and the "ear" marking. Runouts are etched: "BN-LP-4017-A // BN-LP-4017-B"

COVER: VG+

The cover is very nice! Edges and spine are solid, with minimal wear. Corners are slightly worn/softened. Front and back are fairly clean, with routine aging/yellowing, mostly around the edges. There's a blue-ink "star" on the back.

Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability. 

Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.  

If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction.
