Visual artists Peter Weibel and Lois Egg got together with Novak’s Kapelle guitar player Paul Braunsteiner to form the now legendary Art Rock / No Wave band HOTEL MORPHILA ORCHESTER in the late 1970s. “Dead In The Head” was their first proper release, recorded at “Magic Sound Studio” in Graz and put out by Viennese independent label “Extraplatte” in 1982. Back then merely considered as “another weird artist release” these tracks stood the test of time very well. Subversive, complex and pretty raw at the same time: This is a dateless Punk classic. Record has tiny hairlines that don't affect playing. Loud pressing. Cover shows a bit of ringwear and has a faint little crease bottom left.
