HOWLIN’ WOLF – “This Is Howlin’ Wolf’s New Album” (1969) Cadet Concept-319 Original pressing EX/EX (cover/record)

A legendary psychedelic blues rock session by the the great Howlin’ Wolf, and this album has become essential for every psych collection even though it was harshly criticized by blues purists when it was released. Essentially, these are heavy, fuzz guitar-led versions of classics like “Spoonful,” “Evil,” “Built for Comfort,” “Backdoor Man” and others, performed by a band that includes Pete Cosey and Phil Upchurch on guitar, Louis Satterfield on bass and Morris Jennings on guitar. Howlin’ Wolf fronts the band with some of the grittiest vocals you’ll ever hear in your life. Lots of heavy drum beats and amazing guitar all over the place. The cover is a classic too. Super tough to find nice copies these days!

This is an original copy. The cover is beautiful with basically no wear. The original blue and white label vinyl is super clean with one little line scuff on side 1 that can’t be felt and doesn’t affect play.This is a really nice copy! Conservative grading: EX/EX (cover/record).
