Description

Original 50's deep groove grey label pressing of Crown LP 5240 - HOWLING WOLF SINGS THE BLUES, compiling some the Wolf's earliest classic tracks cut with Ike Turner outside Memphis in 1951 and 1952. Disc plays very well, despite the surface noise typical to Crown's cheap vinyl. Very few blemishes or marks, slight wear from play but very well cared for. Very slight spindle wear. NO skips. Sounds terrific, high end of VG to VG+.Cover has some storage wear and the bottom seam and spine are completely split - can be easily taped and look great. The Crown label albums were so cheaply manufactured from covers to vinyl, that any pressing that has survived in pleasantly playable condition is worthwhile. We grade conservatively to avoid disputes, pack carefully and ship quickly.
