INTRODUCTION:

For sale is a large collection of LPs primarily from the 70’s-80’s in the rock and pop genres as listed and described below. These LPs are the result of downsizing my personal collection.

I have been selling LPs on eBay for several years now ... averaging sales of 30-40 LPs per month and approximately $500-$800 per month in gross sales. This lot is from my personal collection which has been meticulously graded (both the vinyl and sleeve), inserted into archival plastic sleeves and stored in a climate controlled smoke free environment. The LPs have not been played on a regular basis … they were purchased/collected for archival purposes. This lot contains no “junk” or “garage sale” LPs. Attention has especially been paid to acquiring only the highest grade LPs.

All of the LPs are currently for sale individually on eBay. Pictures can be viewed of each LP listed below under my eBay id: pine.tree.bluffs … please check out images and my customer feedback as verification of quality and variety.

I will be updating the list below frequently. As an LP sells individually, I will remove it from the list. As I add new LPs to the lot, they will also be updated in the list.

This is a great lot for the avid collector, retail store or simply as a sales opportunity. Retail average on the LP lot is easily $8.00-$12.00 per LP or $11.00 average with several much higher. Retail value of the listed lot (what I current would gross if sold individually) is over $2,900.00. My “Buy-It-Now” price is reasonable at under $5.00 per LP … I will consider REASONABLE offers as well. I have visited many local record shops and seen these same lower grade LPs selling for $15-$20 each!

SS (Still Sealed) Sealed at factory and never opened. Disc is assumed to be undamaged and mint, but this cannot be proven until the album is actually opened and the disc examined.

M (Mint) Perfection, no flaws, defects, marks or otherwise indications of being handled or played. Any scuffs, hairline scratches or other marks disqualify discs from this category.

NM or M- (Near Mint or Mint Minus) The vinyl is virtually flawless, bright and shiny. A very minor, barely visible scuff or two may be permitted, but no scratches. The disc should play with no audible noise. The label is bright, clean and unmarked.

EX (Excellent) Disc plays near perfectly, but may have minor paper scuffs that do not interfere with the sound quality. There can possibly be a hairline scratch or two but nothing that is obvious or affects play. Vinyl is bright and shiny; label is clean and unmarked.

VG+ (Very Good Plus) Some visible surface wear, very minor scratches and scuffs, but minimal impact on the sound quality. Vinyl will still have good luster; labels may have minor imperfections (small labels or initials, etc.) but otherwise clean.

VG (Very Good) Vinyl will have noticeable scratches or scuffs that cause minor surface noise, but do not overpower the music. There will be no skips. Vinyl may appear somewhat dull and grayish. Labels may have small tears, tape marks, larger writing, etc. but still easily legible. There may be wear or deformation of the spindle hole.

Album Cover Grading Standards

SS (Still Sealed) Album is still in the factory-applied shrink-wrapping.

M (Mint) Absolutely perfect; no corner dings, marks, tears, dents, impressions from the disc, or other flaws. Cover should appear as if a record has never been inside.

NM or M- (Near Mint or Mint Minus) Very minor signs of wear or cover impressions. Artwork is as close to perfection as possible.

EX (Excellent) Minor disc impression or slight corner creases, no wrinkles, puckers, seam splits or writing on the cover. Artwork is clean and unworn and there is no ink wear.

VG+ (Very Good Plus) Cover is clean but may have minor writing or marks and may show slight wear. There may be just the start of ring wear, where the disc has created a raised area on the cover that resulted in the ink wearing off the paper. There may be slight discoloration or staining, minor seam wear, but no splits or tears. Corners may have small creases or fraying.

VG (Very Good) Covers are worn and used. Seams may be starting to split or may have been unobtrusively repaired with clear tape. There is moderate ring wear, but the artwork is still attractive. There may be yellowing or discoloration and there may be larger writing, labels, or marks. Corners may have damage or creases and there may be scratches or gouges that otherwise damage the artwork.

A Word About Grading And Buying Records Online:

We visually inspect and grade the condition of vinyl and album covers to the best of our ability but with that in mind ... grading is subjective and what is perceived by one individual may be different to another. Generally, we grade conservatively so the items are better than described when delivered to your door.

We cannot listen to every album we acquire as that would be simply impossible due to time constraints. Most of the albums we sell are 20 to 50 years old and vintage vinyl more often than not comes with some light and/or minor pops. We cannot account for faulty audio equipment or bad phonographic needles and cartridges on the buyers end. Also, since our albums are acquired in a wide variety of ways we cannot know the chain of ownership or history of any individual product in particular.

Finally, we have found that albums that might seem initially disappointing or sub-par in the buyer's opinion can miraculously be brought back to higher standards with a vigorous cleaning. We will not clean vinyl prior to shipping due to end user preference.

SHIPPING OPTIONS:

Option (1):  Local Pickup. Full payment for LPs must be made via Paypal prior to buyer’s arrival.

Option (2):  Partial Delivery (Economy Shipping). I will drive approximately 100 miles from Lake City, MN (one way) to meet with the buyer and make the LP exchange.

Please understand that I must haul these LPs in my truck and the gas mileage is not great, thus I regretfully have to charge an additional $60.00 for delivery/mileage. Full payment and mileage must be made via Paypal prior to exchange.

Option (3): Direct Shipping by the USPS Media Mail Service. I cave carefully calculated the shipping costs to package and ship the LP lot. The actual cost breakdown is as follows:

Purchase shipping boxes, bubble wrap and tape ($34.00) + USPS Media Mail postage for 10 boxes x $9.33 per box (each box weights approximately 15lbs) = a shipping total of $127.30. Please allow 2-3 days for actual packaging of LPs prior to shipping. Full payment for LPs and shipping must be made via Paypal prior to shipping.
