HUMAN BEAST VOL ONE UK DECCA PROG PSYCH MONSTER 1970 LP

You will struggle to find this LP now, it's ultra rare. It's on the original UK blue and silver Decca  label and it's entitled 'Volume One' by a band called The Human Beast.   

It's a stereo recording and the catalogue number is SKL 5053. It was released originally in 1970. The music which is drenched with acid psych guitar is simply stunning.  

OUTER SLEEVE - The sleeve which is laminated on the front is in fine condition. There is minor ring wear on the front. The edges and spine are show some creasing and minor wear. The wording along the spine is 100% readable but there are some minor cracks in the spine. The rear of the sleeve which is not laminated shows minor wear and slight discolouration. It states on the rear of the sleeve in the bottom right hand corner 'Sleeve printed in England by Clout & Baker Ltd. laminated with 'Clarifoil' made by British Celanese Ltd. The rear of the sleeve also features the round hole in the top right hand corner which denotes whether the record is mono or stereo when the Decca company sleeve is inserted. This one is stereo. I've graded the sleeve VG++. 

INNER BAG -  Decca blue and white stereo company sleeve with clear polythene inner.It states at the bottom on one side -

MADE IN EMGLAND British patent No.800513 Foreign patents pending U.K. APPLICATIONS No. 43212/68. I've graded this inner bag as Ex-. 

RECORD - The record plays really well on side one with some minor surface noise and the odd pop and click. It looks quite clean and appears to have been played quite a few times. There are some very superficial marks on side one which do not affect the quality. Unfortunately, on side two there is a 40mm (1.5 inch) scuff mark at right angles to the record which extends from the strt of track one into about one quarter of track two.This shows up as a definite clicking sound for the duration of the one and a quarter tracks. However, the record plays through with no jumps. I guess that this record could be professionally cleaned and the sound of the scuff mark minimised but I must warn prospective bideders that it is evident and audible. The rest of side two plays through superbly with some minor surface noise and the occasional pop and click. 

LABELS - The labels are the original blue stereo Decca type with the boxed Decca logos at the top (silver wording). It states under the logo 'ffss FULL FREQUENCY STEREOPHONIC SOUND ffss'. Around the circumference it states - 'ALL RIGHTS OF THE MANUFACTURER AND OF THE OWNER OF THE RECORDED WORK RESERVED - UNAUTHORISED PUBLIC PERFORMANCE BROADCASTING AND COPYING OF THIS RECORD PROHIBITED'. The matrix numbers (XZAL.9754 P - side one - and XZAL.9755 P - side two) are printed above the catalogue numbers on the right hand side of the labels. There are some spindle marks around the holes. The labels are in fine condition with no damage. The matrix numbers on the run-off grooves are - side one - XZAL-9754.P-1W - side two - XZAL-9755.P-1W. Because of the scuff mark at the beginning of side two I must grade the record as VG only which I believe is fair. Please bear in mind that this might be the only chance you ever get to own this record, it is so rare. 

I try to grade everything very conservatively and I believe that the winner of this auction will not be disappointed. I guarantee everything I sell. It will be difficult to find this record again.
