HUNGER! - STRICTLY FROM HUNGER/THE LOST ALBUM, 2LP Box Set, 1999 Italian AKARMA AK045,AK045/2
Italian 2LP ISSUE in Black Box Sleeve with Sticker.
Limited Issue of both versions of their album:
STRICTLY FROM HUNGER, AKARMA AK045. 180g Vinyl.
Hunger! (originally from Portland, Oregon), were fully fledged members of the L.A. Psych scene of the late 60s, and despite opening for top acts like the Doors and The Strawberry Alarm Clock, their one and only album did not make much of a splash at the time, and the band dissolved soon after its release. However, the album has since become one of the most collectible of all Psych LPs and upon listening one can see why. This rhythm- heavy Doors- influenced hard psych is frequently referred to as “one of the best psychedelic albums of all time”! Band member Ed King went on to play with the Strawberry Alarm Clock and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
