This is the original pressing on Enigma Records, not a reissue.
A noted punk rock rarity, this debut from LA's HYPNOTICS is one of the most interesting and compelling documents of the transition from punk rock to hardcore in the LA punk scene. Fast, frenetic, young, loud, and snotty, with subtle synths (a common feature of 70s punk rock that gives the sound an "art damage" tinge despite the in-your-face guitar and attitude) - the band has been compared to the ANGRY SAMOANS and the LEWD, but there has never been another record quite like this. Worth it for anthemic "Can't Think" alone, there are twenty-one other similarly short, sharp blasts of tightly controlled mayhem on the LP, which set the tone for much of what was to follow. It's easily one of the five best albums to come out of the LA punk scene.
It also has the distinction of being Enigma 1.
Condition: vinyl is NM. Cover is in good shape with no defects to speak of outside of normal shelf wear and a hole punched in the upper right corner.
It's a great record.
