Great vinyl condition of 8 brilliant albums from iconic Blue Eyed Soul hit makers
Hall and Oates the extraordinary musicians and songwriting duo. These are the
bands complete album output from 1977 through 1988.
The first LP is their 1977 more rock-oriented ‘Beauty On A Back Street’ and it is a
beauty with nine tracks that include ‘You Must Be Good For Something’, ‘“Love Hurts (Love Heals)’
and ‘Bigger Than Both Of Us’ to name a few of these amazing songs.
The second album is the 1978 ‘Along The Red Ledge’ polished by super producer David Foster
and with guest musicians like George Harrison, Todd Rundgren and Robert Fripp playing on
10 songs like ‘Melody For A Memory’, ‘Have I Been Away Too Long’, ‘Serious Music’ and
‘August Day’.
The next album is their 1979 LP ‘X-Static’ with the duo back to making pop hit like ‘Wait For Me’,
‘The Woman Comes And Goes’, ‘Bebop/Drop’ and ‘Intravino’.
The fourth selection is the 1980 ‘Voices’ filled with 11 amazing songs, that includes three classic
Hall and Oates tracks ‘Kiss On My List’, ‘You Make My Dreams’ and their cover of the classic
Phil Spector hit ‘You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’’.
The fifth LP is the 1981 chart topper ‘Private Eyes’ with three hits ‘Private Eyes’, ‘I Can’t Go For That (No Can Do)’ and ‘Did It In A Minute’ as well as eight other great tunes. The sixth selection is the 1982 ‘H2O’ another huge hit with three more band hits ‘Maneater’,
‘One On One’, and ‘Family Man’ along with eight more great tracks.
The seventh LP is my favorite and the bands late career best the 1984 ‘Big Bam Boom’
a nine song wonder that had their number one hit ‘Out Of Touch’ as well as ‘Method Of Modern Love’,
‘Some Things Are Better Left Unsaid’ and the great ‘Possession Obsession’. A dynamite LP.
The last album is the 1988 ‘Ooh Yeah!’ with 10 songs and every one a winner that includes
‘Everything Your Heart Desires’, ‘Talking All Night’, ‘Soul Love’ and ‘Realove’.
A truly great find of an important musical collection and great fun records, you won’t
be able to stop playing. Please note the photos for this item were taken of the actual album jacket.
Experience the music the way it was meant to be heard in all the warm tones
of its analog quality stereophonic vinyl sound and not the inferior audio of MP3s.
