Super rare UK release from early 80s (?) featuring showcase of Birmingham-based roots artists under the Black Symbol label. Two tracks from Black Symbol, Truths & Rights, Sceptre, Gerald Love and Zephaniah. What stands out for these tracks is the heavy productions on most of them, ahead of many UK producers at the time. All are rootsy tunes except the Gerald Love which tends towards a more roots lovers tip.
The vinyl on this is excellent and the cover is pretty good, a bit scuffed round the edges where the white shows against the black cover. Love the ameteurish front cover consisting of a selection of snaps put together, but this LP is all about the music.
