Autographed by Hank De Mano Condition This LP plays in VG to VG+ condition as played on a sensitive system (Basis turntable, Vector arm, Transfiguration cartridge). Four songs on the album with one song on each side playing VG+ & one playing VG (light-ish to approaching a medium level of surface noise). Not a perfect album but definitely listenable. The best piece on the album is a 10 minute Summertime which plays with occasional light non-intrusive surface noise. Examining the LP close to a bright light highlights all visual flaws & shows nice gloss with some non-feelable hairline surface marks, in VG to slightly better visual condition. The album cover is fully intact, in EX+ condition. Info Incredibly rare LP from the should have been more known Hank De Mano, Fabulous album. There's plenty of noteworthy solos, especially on Summertime, along with a live u-are-there feel to the sound. Interesting that many mono LPs, especially private pressings, can sound more live than stereo LPs. Can't be many Hank De Mano autographs out their which adds to the rarity of this LP. The back cover mentions the date of the gig as November 25, 1963. Someone, I assume Hank overwrote the 5 with a 0 (the 0 is in the same color ink that Hank signed the LP), making the date November 20, 1963. Observing previous ads for this album on popsike, most Sellers incorrectly listed the musicians noting players who were in De Mano's original band instead of those in his 1963 Quartet. For used LPs, insulation is placed inside boxsets and single LPs are re-sealed to prevent movement. Instead of single-walled mailers, odd-sized albums such as some boxsets ship in a significantly robust double-walled box and with the albums insulated from the inside of the mailer via a type of double boxing. For single LPs, the most robust LP mailers are used. These mailers were selected after rejecting many alternative LP mailers that did not meet critical requirements for rigid protection to the mailer's corners.
