Description
Hank Mobley - "Dippin'" (Blue Note, BLP 4209, 1965)
An original pressing, 1965, in VG+/VG+ condition. Per Cohen's guide to Blue Note originals, BLP 4209 calls for "New York USA" on the labels, "Van Gelder" stamp in the deadwax, no plastylite in the dw, "43rd West 61st NYC 23" on the unlaminated sleeve; ours has each and every mark called for. The sleeve is bright with light edge and corner wear, light shadowing, no splits, and a very legible label. The inner sleeve is just a plain die-cut sub. The labels are very bright clean and undamaged. The sides have a few hairlines, light needle mark, and a touch of scuff. The playback is clean, bright, actually closer to Ex than VG+, with some very soft touches of static under the mix. VG+/VG+.
