Original Blue Note vinyl from 1957!
Hank Mobley - All Stars
Blue Note 1544
Deep groove both sides, NY23 on side 2.
RVG and P (‘ear’) in the runouts.
Unfortunately Side 1 has a scratch that creates a repeating click in places through SA-2 (not all the way through, just in and out of it for 10-15 seconds at a time). A few other light marks create light clicks and pops here on some of the tracks. Some tracks are really clean and quiet. No skips at all through the record. The dynamics are amazing and punchy as expected from an RVG pressing. Still a really enjoyable listen for a rare and old record.
Sleeve is the old frame type, but has a split about 10cm at bottom edge.
