Description

This is the original deep groove RVG-etched “P”-pressing of “Hank Mobley” on the Lexington Ave. labels of Blue Note BLP 1540.  The flat rim playing surface is virtually in new condition with just superficial inaudible impressions from the original inner sleeve (included); otherwise, the playing surface is flawless, with a high luster; perhaps played once, if at all.   Similarly, the coated reverse-frame cover is in near-new condition – bright, clean, and immaculate is every respect – with sharp corners and unworn seams; slight bump at the upper and lower right corners; “O.K.” stamped at the top of the back slick.  Personnel include Donald Byrd, Lee Morgan, Horace Silver, Paul Chambers, and Charlie Persip.  $2,000.00.
