Description

This is the original deep-groove RVG-stamped “P”-pressing of Hank Mobley ‘s self-titled recording on West 63rd St. labels of Blue Note BLP 1568. The Side 1 label does not have the NY23 address, but as will be seen in a forthcoming auction, it is now apparent that the NY23 label on BLP 1568 is an anomaly and not indicative of an original. The playing surface is immaculate, as new, with a high luster; perhaps played once. The laminated West 63rd St. cover has a flawless front; the back slick shows slight shelf wear and two ¼” stains; slight wear at the top left corner. Personnel include Bill Hardman, Curtis Porter, Sonny Clark, Paul Chambers, and Art Taylor. WE NOW ACCEPT PAYPAL.
