Description
Original deep-groove "RVG" pressing of Hank Mobley's Mobley's Second Message on the yellow and black West 50th Street labels of Prestige PRLP 7083. The playing surface is in near-new condition; however, having been stored in its original glassine sleeve for 50 years, there is a typical mottling (spotting) of the vinyl that has no effect on the audio. The record plays very nearly as new, with fewer than six non-repetitive tics throughout the entire record. The spindle hole is sharp and unworn. The record was probably played once or twice. The laminated cover has the West 50th Street address: 3/8" wear to bottom seam, at the opening, two small areas of lamination flaking along opening; 1/4" wear at top of spine; otherwise, clean and bright throughout
Personnel includes Kenny Dorham, Walter Bishop, and Doug Watkins.
