I am selling off a few of my rare and collectible UK first pressing vinyl albums to supplement a house move. It's sad to see them go but the money will come in useful. Grading records is subjective so to avoid confusion I have adopted the Record Collector magazine’s Grading Guide to describe the condition and I have also play-checked each album, so you can be confident about buying. The pictures are also of the actual album you are bidding on.

Description and Track List
This album (catalogue no. CAS 1022), which is included in the ‘rare record collector’ list is an original 1970 UK first pressing in near mint condition. It has been so well preserved because it has rarely been played and the whole album has been stored in a protective plastic sleeve since new.
 
Hannibal formed from a Birmingham band called Bakerloo, which featured guitarist Clem Clemson. Clemson was a brilliant musician who went on to work with John Hiseman in Colosseum and became a major session guitarist. Former Black Sabbath manager Jim Simpson had funded an album for Bakerloo and shortly after Clemson left to do other things. Jim Simpson had the album which he wanted to promote in Germany, so the group did a tour of Germany under that name - Bakerloo - before changing the name to Hannibal.
 
With some member changes, the band recorded an album that was based around the guitarist Adrian Ingram. Ingram was the main feature of the band, all the tracks were written by him. Their horn player and keyboardist Bill Hunt was a member of Breakthrough and later joined Jeff Lynne’s Move.
 
As a seminal and jazzy prog-rock band from the late '60s, Hannibal shared stages with Free, Black Sabbath, Patto, ELO and Johnny Winter. Their album is jam packed with early cutting-edge examples of Jazz-rock fusion guitar playing together with Adrian Ingram's quirky Zappaesque compositions.
 
Hannibal was ahead of its time and eventually became a much sought-after prog collectors item.
 
Note: First pressings of this album are very scarce, especially in this, near mint, condition and are consequently highly collectible investments.

Condition (using Record Collector Magazine grading)
I have tried to provide good quality large pictures of the album and sleeves. Please take the time to click through them and satisfy yourself of the quality of this LP. The pictures should speak for themselves.
Vinyl = NEAR MINT: The record has hardly ever been played and the album has been stored in a protective plastic sleeve since new. I was inclined to describe it as mint, but under very bright light I can just make out one or two very, very faint marks on the vinyl surface. I have play-tested the album and there is absolutely no deterioration in sound quality and it’s a very good pressing too, with very little background noise.
Cover = EXCELLENT: The cover sleeve is in excellent condition. There is just the very slightest fading and odd mark consistent with the age and the original retailer’s price sticker.

The record will be very well packaged and sent Royal Mail Special Delivery, which includes insurance against loss or damage in transit.
