John LENNON / YOKO ONO / THE PLASTIC ONO BAND with THE HARLEM COMMUNITY CHOIR
Happy Xmas (War Is Over)
Universal US
limited green vinyl 7" Cat: 785038 6Rel: 3 Nov 25
Rock Side 1. Happy Xmas (War Is Over) (Ultimate mix) Side 2. Listen, The Snow Is Falling (Ultimate mix)
John Lennon and Yoko Ono reunite with The Plastic Ono Band for 'Happy Xmas (War Is Over)', pressed on a limited green 7" vinyl. Originally recorded in 1971, the song blends Lennon's melodic sensibility with Ono's avant-garde edge, framed by a festive choral backing from the Plastic Ono Band. Another charged message, written in support of peace movements during the Vietnam War, 'Happy Xmas' has since become a seasonal anthem, lest we forget the horrors of proxy atrocity during the oncoming winter break.
