PLEASE CONSIDER THAT IN THESE EBAY AUCTIONS I USE A STRICT RECORD COLLECTOR MAGAZINE GRADING SYSTEM THAT CAN'T DISAPPOINT ANYONE BUT THIS DOESN'T MEAN THAT ,FOR EXAMPLE, A VG+ COVER OR A VG+ VINYL IT'S EQUIVALENT TO "BAD CONDITIONS" BUT SIMPLY THAT MY GRADE IT'S STRICT AND PROBABLY EQUIVALENT TO AN EX OF SOMEONE ELSE WITH NOT A SO STRICT GRADE. I HAVE SOLD IN THESE AUCTIONS EX- RECORDS THAT WERE SURELLY M- COPIES BUT I PREFERE TO BE STRICT TO AVOID ANY DISAPPOINTEMENT BECAUSE I TAKE GREAT CARE OF MY REPUTATION.
graded VG/VG+ for a strict Record Collector magazine grading system
label: The label it's the classic seventies Metronome 2 colours label and I can see some light marks around the spindle hole...nothing else so VG++.
cover: The cover it's well known for his poor lamination and this one luckylly it's not peeled but there are laminations lift and creases hence the more appropiate grade it's a VG. It does have a circular delection hole in the right upper corner too. In my experience you have to work very hard for to find a better cover of this lp.
vinyl: The vinyl look nice but under an accurate inspection you can see many ultra thin scuffs caused probably from the dust and because the in and out inside the inner sleeve. This cause a super light background noise in the quieter parts that are basically in the intro of the long suite of side one but when I say super light believe me please. The rest it's great but a VG+ it's appropiate on a strict grade.
review: this is the review included in Oldish Psych & Prog :"A heavy blues-progressive power trio. They recorded (in Windrose Studios, Hamburg) one very interesting, self-titled album for Metronome in 1971. Best cut was the 20 minute long suite "Second Life". It started with a big bomb explosion and then with a folky, acoustic acid song, evolving into a heavy guitar solo section similar to Jimi Hendrix or a more rancous Ten Years After followed by a drum solo and then a new pumping rythmic section dominated by wild electrics assaults and then a new bomb explosion at the end of side. Side two does include four fine hard psych rock songs. Second Life's album is now very rare. After more than twenty years, the cover lamination is peeling off on every copy I have ever seen, so don't expect to find a mint cover even if you're lucky enough to trace the record! In 1972 the group changed their name to Tiger B. Smith and recorded two inferior albums for Vertigo and Bacillus." ...I can add: a Beautiful Hard Rock Progressive album one of the best in the Kraut Rock scene with hard electric guitar domination and... Don't miss! SORRY for the minimum price but this is really the minimum I can accept for a so rare item and this is a correct auction very different the many "pushed up" auctions I see all around! Please open your eyes!
