The Anthology Of American Folk Music 3 x 2LP (Doxy, EU, 2009)
Reissue of 3 2-LP Sets, as originally released by Folkways in 1952.
Vol 1. "Ballads" / Vol2. "Social Music" / Vol3. "Songs"
Each volume comes in different colour vinyl, with an inner information sheet.
The original mixtape, compiled by Folklorist Harry Smith from 78s issued in the U.S. between 1927 and 1932.
Condition (I Grade NM / EX / VG+ / VG / VG- / G / F
Sleeve - (CONDITION) EX - All three sleeves are still in their shrink. A little wear to the sleeve openings, otherwise almost new.
Record - (CONDITION) EX All have seen very light play only - they are virtually new. Some of the discs have slight storage warps, but these don't effect play at all. One side (Vol 2, side 1) - has a small scratch - but the effects on play are barely (if at all) noticeable.
Who Wants This? Here's your chance to get all the volumes of The Anthology in one go (There is a Volume 4 - but this wasn't released to the nineties). While it's a shame not to have Harry Smith's booklet (but it is out there easily available in printable form) - all the music is here, and it sounds fine.

- I love records, too! I package all records in proper mailers with stiffeners. Books are packaged in cardboard.
- I PLAY GRADE virtually all of my items, as well as looking visually. Always read the description. It will normally tell you what you need to know.
- I remove records from their outer sleeves to avoid splitting. All records are packed in a plastic sleeve for extra protection.
- Although I don't normally accept returns / refunds, if you have any issues please let me know within 3 days of recieving the item and we'll sort it out amicably. I want you totally happy!
