Description

An original 1st press of Hatfield & the North's debut on the Virgin label. Matrix 1/1. Stampers 1-O/1GR. The vinyl comes housed in an original laminated gatefold cover. Someone has very kindly attached a cut-out section from the music magazine 'Melody Maker' to the inner sleeve. This dates from Feb-74..the month of release of the debut.
Vinyl (Ex-) Lovely condition having seen only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection there are a few very light marks either side - nothing troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly NEAR EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Great transparency with only minimal occasional interference. All we could detect was a few crackles in a couple of isolated moments. Nothing invasive or persistent...this is a great little rendition. 
Cover (Ex) In great condition and looks to have been well cared for down the years. Lovey shiny front and rear with only a couple of stress creases at the spine and a tiny section of laminate lift in the extreme top-right. The interior is in great condition - no issues at all. Edge wear seems reasonably light and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
