Description

Capital Records of Canada pressing, T-6166.  The famous Rainbow label.    This record has not been played very much as there is very little static heard.   It's never been a record that I've played over the years.  In Canada this record is highly collectible as it is the original Capital Rainbow label and as you can see by the picture the perimeter print has Canada without the brackets which means this is a very early pressing in 1966 before Capital records was re-incorporated to Capital Records (Canada) in mid 1966.   I'm not a record store, just a private guy that collects records to a certain extent,  but a to a degree that I know how to date record albums within a year or so in the 1960's.   Not many of these records were pressed with this Capital label as it came out in March 1966 which gives 3 or 4 months before the label was changed.

There are no deep scratches on the vinyl.  There are 2 very light lines on the vinyl.  The vinyl is in really good condition.  Matrix numbers are T1 - 6166 side one and T2 - 6166 side two.  The album cover is in good condition with little fading,  just a touch of ring wear on the back,  there is small pen check marks beside the songs,  the only major flaw of this album cover.  On the bottom near the opening,  the seam is split about 1.5 inches, but no old tape issues.   Litho in Canada on the front,  printed in Canada on the back left,  cover photo printed Canada on right.   This album is 46 years old so it has some issues.  For the age I consider this album to be in superior shape compared to many other old records that I've seen.

This Yardbirds record is ranked #    353 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of "The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time", which called the album "the bridge between beat groups and psychedelia".

Side one is with Jeff Beck and side 2 is with Eric Clapton.   Great songs with Heart full of Soul, Train Kept A-Rollin and Smokestack Lightning.

This auction is in Canadian dollars as I am targeting a Candian buyer as this Capital  record was not sold in the USA.  If you are the USA and want to buy this I will ship there as well.
