Hawkwind - In Search of Space LP (UK, booklet, Motorhead, space rock, prog, EX)

This is an LP by Hawkwind called In Search of Space, released in the UK by United Artists in 1971. 

Wikipedia:  Hawkwind are an English rock band, one of the earliest space rock groups. Their lyrics favour urban and science fiction themes. They are also a noted precursor to punk rock[1] and now are considered a link between the hippie and punk cultures.[2]

Formed in November 1969 by saxophone & flute player Nik Turner and singer-songwriter guitarist Dave Brock, Hawkwind have gone through many incarnations and styles of music. Critic Jim Green[3] describes their trademark sound as characterised by "that gargantuan and impenetrable pre-metal/hardcore drone, those great riffs, that inexorable drive to destinations unknown." In the early 1990s, the word "blanga" was coined by Inner City Unit and Robert Calvert guitarist Steve Pond (who currently plays in Krankshaft with 2012 touring keyboardist Dead Fred) and music critic J. Eric Smith via the Hawkwind Blanga Guide [4] to summarise this sound, and the word has become a common descriptive term for the music created by Hawkwind and the bands they have inspired. Dozens of musicians have worked with the group; fantasy and science fiction writer Michael Moorcock was an occasional collaborator.

VINYL:  EX             The record is extremely nice and shiny with a few faint paper marks and a couple very light hairlines. 

LABELS: EX            The labels have a few faint spindle marks, no stains, smudges, wear, fading, stickers or writing.

BOOKLET:  EX       The original booklet has only slight corner/edge wear and that look of aged newspaper.  There is no obvious discolourations or stains but there is that slight yellowing which invariably happens to newsprint paper.   There is a faint bend mark on the bottom corner of each of the pages but no deep creases. 

SLEEVE:  VG+/EX-         The tri-fold gatefold sleeve is centre opening and is somewhere between what I would call VG+ and EX-.  There is some visible corner/edge wear in places, some very slight, general, all-over surface wear from storage/handling.  There is a thin line of surface wear running parallel to the right spine on the front.  There are a few spots of wear or tiny folds on the edges of the right and left panels just above the "Hawkwind" text.   The inside of the gatefold has some small spots of very slight surface wear.

Anything over £30 will be sent recorded delivery automatically.  Please wait for your invoice!  Recorded post is £0.95 extra within the UK and £5.15 in addition to normal postage charges for the rest of the world.  Special Delivery is available upon request.   This will cost more so please ask for estimated postage charges before you buy.

With apologies to our buyers, we have had to increase postage costs in response to a massive increase in postage by Royal Mail.  We still only charge what it costs us + a few pence for the cost of packing materials.

ITEM CONDITION:  All items are used unless otherwise stated.  I do my best to describe everything as accurately as possible but I'm human and do get it wrong sometimes.  I will happily accept returns with full refund + postage when the item is received in the condition it was sent.  I am using the Record Collector grading guide and only visually grade.  Any records I'm not sure about, I will listen to and note in the description.
