Description

DESCRIPTION:  Hawkwind- X In Search Of Space LP.  1st COMPLETE UK pressing with A1U/B2U matrix, foldout gimmix sleeve, scarce UA inner sleeve and logbook.  Its a great LP and this is a very decent copy.  Packed this weighs just over 500gm so overseas postage is as for a double. Postage cost includes tracking and a box/cruciform mailer.
LABEL AND CATALOGUE NUMBER: United Artists UAG2902 .
YEAR OF RELEASE: 1971.
COUNTRY OF RELEASE:  UK:
CONDITION (VINYL/COVER): VG+/EX. Vinyl is really clean with a nice dark sheen.  Played all of this tonight. Sits perfectly flat on the turntable.  Plays EX generally.  Music is clean, loud and clear throughout.  It has some soft ticks in the intro to "Master Of the Universe" and in the largely acoustic "We Took The Wrong Step Years Ago" which is all that prevents me from grading the vinyl as EX overall.  Cover is in outstanding condition- please check out the photos. Retains an excellent box-shape with a fully legible spine.  It is firm and square with only light edge wear, light corner wear and minimal creasing. There are no rips or tears to the securing flap or front edge the on the cover.  The Logbook is complete, fully intact with original staples and in Excellent condition. The very scarce UA inner has only light wear. One side of it  shows the impression where the log back has sat next to it for many years.  Really clean labels- check out the photos. No writing, rips, stickers or sticker tears.
GRADING SYSTEM: I use UK’s “Record Collector” Grading system. MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface mark or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc. I will at times use a + or - to indicate when a record falls between the grades.
I am just starting to sell off my very extensive record collection, built up over 40 years. I have hundreds of rarities in fantastic condition from many genres including blues, punk, metal, britpop, progressive, kraut, classic and hard rock. Almost all of the records i list will be in at least VG+ condition. The only exceptions would be some extremely rare records. PLEASE ADD ME TO YOUR FAVOURITE SELLERS LIST.
