Hayden Proffitt presents Jim Head & His Del Ray's - Hayden Proffitt & Lloyd Norman Music Co. LPM 1002
Very scarce LP from 1965. Mono record is VG+/EX glossy vinyl with a few superficial hairlines on Side 1. Plays excellent. Cover is NM in original shrink wrap. Sharp corners, no dings. No seam splits. Great drag racing collectible featuring (future) top fuel/funny car racer/team owner Jim Head singing and playing bass (and a drum solo) with his band before he got into racing. Presented by one of the drag racing greats of the 1960's Hayden Proffitt. Great cover shot at Lions Drag Strip.
I've been a record collector since 1976 and a dealer for over 20 years. (And a drag racing fan since the early 70's). I grade fairly and honestly using the Goldmine grading standards for vinyl and VJM grading for shellac (78's). I use new record mailers and protect the album cover and vinyl (separated in a poly sleeve to avoid seam splits) with 12 1/2 x 12 1/2 corrugated pads.
