This is a rare copy of the hard to find 2nd album by Haze, an amazing Twin Cities Funk band.  Haze made their recording debut in 1974 on their self titled release from ASI Records.  They toured hard and played hard, travelling across the country and dazzling crowds with solid songs and amazing showmanship.  After a disillusioning trip to California and a sketchy record deal, they returned to Minnesota and recorded this LP.  The songs are straight up late seventies funk and dance, and they really illustrate their strong songwriting and performance.  The album is topped off with their hopeful song "Time", which details their ups and downs in the business.  It's a killer track, and my favorite on the album, but all of the songs are fantastic.
Before this record could be released, Haze was offered an opportunity to sign with a major promoter to be groomed as the next big thing.  They were flown out east and set up in a mansion with gear and costume designers, and their main focus was to work hard on their craft.  This deal ultimately ended in heartbreak, and the band went their separate ways not long after.  Part of this deal was that they couldn't release this second album, so it sat in storage for nearly four decades.  Copies have leaked out over the years, but the original vinyl pressing is still technically unreleased.
This copy was obtained directly from members of Haze in 2010.  The jacket was sealed at the time, but the shrinkwrap has been opened.  The record has been played less than a handful of times, and the overall condition is very clean.  Surface noise barely registers, if at all.  The jacket has minor wear on one corner and along the opening, but this can be attributed to age and general shipping wear.  There are two spots where there is bubbling on the jacket, but this appears to have happened when the slick on the back was glued on.  Other than that the jacket is very clean and in terrific condition.
Price includes shipping and insurance.
