Violinist Lim Kek Han with the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Hans Gunter Mommer performs the He Zhan-Hao and Chen Gang ’s “Butterfly Lovers Violin Concerto” plus the “Spring Festival Overture” by Li Woon Chi, “Three Dances from the Mermaid Ballet”, by Wu Zu Jian amd Du Min Xing, and shorter pieces, “Night Party”, and “Dance of the Yao People. An Australian pressing on the Philips Label (6598 939) , the record is of excellent appearance and plays and sounds superb with a minium of surface noise. The cover is excellent.
