(Hear) 1970s Invincibles Indiana Pvt Label Garage Soul 45 (Boogie Woogie Woman)


 

 

 
Invincibles – “Boogie Woogie Woman” b/w “Take Me Back” (TRC 12959). Obscure release by this 70s band out of Elwood, Indiana. The horn driven band initially formed from Elwood students, led then by the now-deceased high school band director, Frank Parente. Parente left his high school job to lead The Invincibles. The band was compose Parente on sax, Jeff Poe, horns; John Moser, bass; Chris Loepke, guitar; Brad Smith, drums; Chris Briggs, sax; Kent Stafford, sax; Joe Clouser, sax; Randy Moore, trombone, and Harold Slate on drums. Boogie Woogie Woman is a great little rocker while the flip is a nice mid-tempo soul / pop rock cut – take a listen to a little of each. Record is in strong VG+ condition. Postage will be paid by purchaser.
