Hear 1984 Manhattan Transfer One Sided Metal Acetate EX 45 - Mystery

 

 

 
Manhattan Transfer – “Mystery” Metal Acetate (Atlantic). This 1974 metal acetate includes a version of the song “Mystery” by the Manhattan Transfer. It is timed, according to the label at 4:05 which differs from the 45 version which shows a time of 4:56 and the LP version which, according to the label is times at 5:00 or the Edited version which is listed on the label at 3:58. Whether it is a different mix or just a typing error is unknown to me (after all, the typist spelled Atlantic as “Atlatnic.”) Take a listen. There are some scuffs along the edge of the 10-inch disc, but the actual music grooves inside are beautiful. I’ll call it EX condition.
