This collection is every available release from the famed Hear 'N Aid famine benefit in 1985
Ronnie James Dio & His band were the foundation on which the greatest collaboration of heavy metal musicians ever assembled to this date gathered for this legendary recording to benefit famine victims abroad.
The list of musicians is utterly to long to list here, simply put, it's the who's "who" of hard rock and heavy metal from the time period,and prior.
This was essentially heavy metal's answer to "Band-Aid", which led to Live Aid, the now infamous world televised concert, both of which somewhat ignored the hard rock genre, as if they weren't good enough to participate in a charity event as such....
The Lp record which features a host of bands is factory sealed, complete with original OBI sticker on the shrink wrap.
The videocassette (VHS) is also factory sealed,and has been stood upright,climate controlled storage throughout it's lifespan...
The 12" Maxi-Single was never shrink wrapped,so I provided a photo of the wax,both the cover,and Lp are absolutely mint...(New)
The 7" 45 Rpm record was not shrink wrapped at point of sale, so, again, I included a photo of the wax too.....
The sleeve on the 45 Rpm record is not mint, but,very good to VG+
The Lp (33 Rpm) has a very minor crease in the front, bottom left hand corner of of the cover,but,again, It's factory sealed. (I got it like that)
In the complete history of E-Bay, never has this full set been offered for sale,let alone in new sealed condition. (For items that were sealed)
As we all know, Ronnie James Dio has recently passed,and the value of this is now up, and the scarcity of these are without question...
Sony made the 45 minute videocassette that's included here,which features the complete sessions, as well as the finished Mtv video (Rare)
This as an absolute must have for the heavy metal or hard rock aficionado, and is legendary to say the least,the ONLY future project that even comes close to this is "Rock Aid Armenia", which performed the famed track "Smoke On The Water", from Deep Purple.....
The 7" has a KLOS radio station interview on the B-Side.
