 Gus And The Astronuts, perhaps in reference to the NASA astronaut Gus Grissom? A single released on the obscure Hollywood label Ball Records (probably early 1960) "Fat Back" a composition by Moore (Rudy Ray?) - Anderson, a very good instrumental Jazz / Soul, coupled with "Annie Laurie" (traditional) Ball [1006], Cash Songs Pub, which also published Money Records, among others. The single is produced by RRM (probably Rudy Ray Moore). Very few singles published on this label (14 listed). Besides Rudy Ray Moore (Dolemite) who recorded at least five singles on Ball, there are a handful of other artists including Riff Ruffin And His Riff-Tones. Perhaps Gus & The Astronuts are musicians in the entourage of Rudy Ray Moore? Thank you for all info concerning them !!
