I am offering for sale a very good copy of the 1968 album ELECTRIC LADYLAND by THE JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE on the Polydor label.  This was the third album by The Jimi Hendrix Experience and included hits such as Voodoo Chile, Cross-town Traffic and All Along the Watchtower.  This was the bands only number 1 album! (US 1968) 

Rolling Stone magazine ranked this album number 54  in a list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time and Q Magazine ranked it 38th Greatest Album of All Time.

The DOUBLE LP I have for sale is in EXCELLENT CONDITION. Both records don't  have any scratches on them.  They are kept in a well looked after inner sleeve.  The inner sleeves are the originals. These inner sleeves are not ripped or torn at all.

The album sleeve itself is still in superb condition for its age.  There is evidence that the LP has been used and handled but nothing excessive.  Just a few scuffs and scratches along the sides and to the corners.  THE SPINE LOOKS GOOD WITH VERY VERY LITTLE DAMAGE  Dont let this put you off though - remember this is now 40 years old!!! yet still VERY VERY PLEASING TO THE EYE.  I believe the famous album cover was banned in certain countries.....

The records have the Red Polydor Labels on (see picture).  Record 1 (marked 1 and 4) and Record 2 (marked 2 and 3)  I read somewhere that this made it easier to play the whole record continuous?? but others have claimed this was a printing error making it a rare find and very valuable.  Please note I am not claiming this - you decide... The records are both marked Made in England SPDLP 3 (2310) but Record 1 is marked 2310 269 and Record 2 is marked 2310 270. Both are marked  STERO 33, (SET NO: 2657 012)  and  also with P - POLYDOR INT GMBH (HAMBURG) on.

My gradings are based on RECORD COLLECTOR MAGAZINE criteria (see below). I have many years vinyl collecting experience, as well as many ebay sales. I have also sold a variety of very valuable items on ebay, including vintage guitars – an area perhaps even more picky than record collecting! Feel free to look through my feedback...

I have also taken care to photograph my vinyl with natural side lighting. This is important as it shows up all the faults in the covers clearly. It is easy to use soft lighting from above and get a sharp image which does not clearly show and creases, scuffs etc. It’s a small point, but I feel that the purpose of an ebay photo should be to show problems to the buyer not, to hide them. You will be pleasantly surprised rather than disappointed when you receive the item!

Record Collector magazine has originated a set of standards for the condition of second-hand records, cassettes and CDs. Anyone buying or selling records through the magazine must use our conditions to state what amount of wear and tear the disc, its sleeve and/or contents have been subject to. The seven standard condition categories, and a description of what each one means, are listed below:

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
