Description
What we have up for auction is an amazing piece of music history, these are original acetate demo recordings from five great American composers demo submissions for the film "Love Story". Also included is some ephemeral notes. These were found in a Los Angeles estate of someone who worked on the soundtrack coordination for the film. These are in great condition and play fine, ( See list for individual grade and record type.) These are unreleased demo records by five legendary composers! See list below, sold as a lot only! 1. Henry Mancini "Love Story" / Peter Nero "Love Story" Two sided 10 inch, VG+, faint scuffs, no scratches.
2. Dominic Frontier " Is it worth it all to live for love" Two sided 8 inch, one side is intensionally scratched out, but you can still play to here some of the song with loud pops. VG some scuffs. Plays fine.
3. Aznavour / Segal "Love Story" One sided 8 inch, VG+ faint scuffs, includes note on yellow paper found in sleeve.
4. Maurice Jarre "Theme IV" Plaza Suite" one sided 8 inch, EX condition.
5. Plaza Suite Demo 1-3, unknown composer? One sided 10 inch. VG+ light surface scuffs.
6. Music From "Love Story" 12 inch, two sided acetate in blank white cardboard lp sleeve. VG, looks to have been played the most out of all of these, sounds fine when played.
7. Larry Santos, 4 song, 12 inch, one sided acetate from Allen Zentz Mastering. In Zentz Mastering lp sleeve, notes on back cover, VG+, faint paper scuffs. ( I don't know if this has anything to do with "Love Story" it was bound together with the others when found. The music is late 60s, soft rock / pop, sounds like someone who what trying to get a song in the picture! All vocal tracks.
Records will be bagged, sleeved and packed securely, all original sleeves and note will be included. Ships media mail.
