Description
This is a fine original U.S. pressing copy of the second volume in the long running Highs in the Mid Sixties series, released in 1983. Put out by the same label that issued the later volumes of the Pebbles series, Highs in the Mid Sixties features deep dives into the garage, folk-rock, psych, etc. records put out by groups in different cities and regions. The first three volumes in the series focused on Los Angeles. Volume 2 features mostly obscure tracks (the group best known to collectors is likely the W.C. Fields Memorial Electric String Band, who are represented by their debut 45, an early version of "I'm Not Your Stepping Stone"). There are brief bios of each group on the back jacket. The jacket is close to pristine (M-). Some dye smudged around the edges of the front and back covers during the printing process (see photo for example). The disc is clean, and plays with minimal surface noise (not counting the noise from the source discs) (M-).
I’m in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs except where otherwise noted.
