MR. MAGIC
“Rappin’ With Mr. Magic”
(Magic Records)
12 inch version of sought-after CT early hip-hop / old school rap.
Purchased from a retired radio DJ.
A side A plays 9 minutes,
B Side plays the edit version, 4:30 version
Vinyl trail-off hand etched .Interesting that Side A, 9 minute cut shows / CX 376B-1 in the vinyl trail-off.
Side B shows CX 376A-1
Housed in a generic plain black 12 inch cardboard jacket that shows ringwear and spine fade
CONDITION: I grade for visual, and for playback.
Playback = graded while listening thru top notch studio headphones
Grades are: Near Mint (for store stock - unplayed), VG++ (close to perfect)
VG+ (excellent keeper copy); VG , VG minus,
and G (what most ebay sellers award as a VG grade is equal to my G condition).
I do not use the EX grade. EX = VG+ in my strict grading standards.
Visual: Overall VG++ both sides are clean and look to have been rarely played.
Side A shows 3 thin hairline scuffs that do not penetrate the vinyl, or sound upon playback.
I took a photo showing the largest / longest thin scuffline mark, extending diagonally from the trailoff to the edge of the disc, very faint, I adjusted the exposure, lightened to see it.
Side B has no imperfections whatsoever. The B-side label has a bit of moisture stain discoloration at the right circular edge as seen in the photo,.
Audio / Playback: Mint Minus. Both sides play quiet and flawless
