I've decided to sell some of my Marc Bolan / T. Rex record collection. I will be listing items as and when I get the time over the coming weeks and months. I have lots of demos, promos, label variations etc and also some rare items which I'm sure will interest the collectors. So put me in your saved sellers list so you know when I list an item. I am just a collector and definitely not a dealer. Good luck if you find something of interest.
This auction is for an original 1966 UK 7" demo pressing of Hippy Gumbo / Misfit by Marc Bolan.  Cat no. R 5539 It has "Demonstration Record - Not For Sale" on both sides and the "KT" tax stamp on the A side. This record is in absolutely fantastic condition. It looks stunning and plays through perfectly. There are no scratches, jumps, pops or clicks. Even the run in and run out grooves are silent. I have no hesitation in grading it as NEAR MINT condition. 
It comes in its original Parlophone sleeve which is in excellent condition.
I thought long and hard about whether to sell this record as it was the star item in my collection. In the end I thought maybe it's time for some other Bolan fan or collector to own such a rare item. I know whoever buys this will be more than pleased with it. It could be a very long time (if ever) until a copy as good as this comes up for sale again.
I will be letting the auction run to the end so please don't ask me to end it early.
