Description

Holly Williams - The Highway Vinyl LP: New, Unplayed and AUTOGRAPHED!

Bought and signed at a gig at the Royal Northern College of Music but never played (I never did get that record player) so in pristine condition.

Coming from one of Country Music's most famous lineages, Hank Williams is her granddad and Hank Jr. her dad, Holly Williams and her album "The Highway" cements her status as a true singer/songwriter with comparisons closer to John Prine, Jackson Browne or Bruce Springsteen than Nashville's mainstream. Co-produced by Williams and Charlie Peacock (The Civil Wars), The Highway contains 11 original tracks written or co-written by Williams and features guest vocals from Jackson Browne "Gone Away From Me", Jakob Dylan "Without You", Dierks Bentley "'Til It Runs Dry" and Academy Award winner Gwyneth Paltrow "Waiting On June". "The new album from Holly Williams, grandaughter of Hank Williams and daughter of Hank Jr, features classy, classic country songs that show off the singer's rich voice." Telegraph "Being the granddaoughter of Hank Williams must have it's drawbacks as well as advantages, but the young singer-songwriter has stepped out of the legends shadow. Tout and uncluttered, this is a thoughtful yet spirited slice of country-cum-Americana." Sunday Times Culture
