Description
This is the spectacular London recording of Holst's "The Planets" as interpreted by conductor Zubin Mehta with the Los Angeles Philharmonic. A long time feature of the Absolute Sounds' Super Discs in it's standard London issue, this is an ultra high quality remastering done by Mobile Fidelity. These were limited editon issues of 5000, pressed on a special ultra low noise vinyl formula from JVC, half speed mastered & pressed into super thick LP's. The record is dead flat, features surfaces that look like like mirrors & no surface noise.This is a nuclear blockbuster of a recording featuring spectacular dynamics & tremendous bass extension. This comes with a hand writen sheet indicating this is # 609 out of 5000. The box is in excellent condition & the pressing is dead mint. If you have a BIG stereo rig this will show it off superbly
