Sorry about the picture folks. This great record is proof positive that the country blues flourished in the late 40s and early 50s. Plenty of independent labels were popping up and just looking for local blues artists to record. Most of these recordings were made after a long period of blues artists who made records that all sounded alike mostly for the Bluebird label. The rumble of the Chicago electric blues was in its infancy and was about to take over the land. Some of the artists here are Luther Huff, Sonny Boy Johnson, Sunnyland Slim, Hot Rod Happy and Baby Face Leroy all holding on to the old country sound before all hell was to break loose in Chicago. Mamlish Records # 3799. Vinyl is M-. Cover is NM except for some light yellowing on back cover. No splits wear or tear. Extensive liner notes and details about the artists grace this record.
